OCEAN OF ZERO
was festering for quite some time as founding and current band members had
jammed together in varying other punk, crust and death outfits over the
years, as far back as 1993, but never really made it from the cave, nor
found the right combination of demented souls to take it any further for
that matter. Not until early 2009 that is! Initially
based in Brisbane the capitol of Queensland, Australia, then relocating
100km north to the Sunshinecoast, now split between the Sunshinecoast and
Melbourne, capitol of Victoria, a few thousand km further down south. Both "The
Wake" 2010 and "Shun The Light" 2011 demo tapes were
recorded in "Yarrow Studios", Murwillimbah n.s.w and
self-released on Vocalist Plagues label "Bloody Oath Records",
in very limited quantities. Still the
disease managed to spread far and wide in the underground. (a surprise to
the band of old bastards as MySpace and websites and stuff like that has
until signing to "Obscure Domain" been beyond technological
reach! haha...and also not of interest to be honest!) In a nutshell,
OoZ is a result of old mates expressing total hate and distaste for a
decaying society via Death Metal played as raw and heavy as attainable
with limited fuss and pretention. It is what it
is. Nothing but death................................
